What Types of Bodily Changes Can You Observe In Situations of Varying Environmental Temperatures?

  • Level: Middle School
  • Topic: Environmental Physiology, Respiratory Physiology

Description: This activity engages students in exploring physiological changes in the body when exposed to differing external temperatures. This activity is the first of two activities and is the “engage” for a follow-up investigation on respiration rate as a function of environmental temperature. These activities are best for a high school biology course but may be adapted for a middle school life science class.
