Let's Work Together
- Level: Middle School
- Topic: Musculoskeletal System
Description:
This activity engages students in a learning cycle to learn how the muscular and skeletal system work together. The lesson begins with a KWL on the muscular system followed by a structured lab exploring muscles and bones by close examination of a chicken wing. Class discussion and an Internet treasure hunt deepen students' understanding. The students then apply their knowledge in a guided inquiry model-building lesson in which they design and construct a working model of an arm.
