Frontiers in Physiology Programs What are LOTs

Team Leader:

C. Subah Packer, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Dept of Cellular & Integrative Physiology, IU School of Medicine (see Dr. Packer’s website at http://www.iupui.edu/%7Emedphys/faculty/packer/index.html). Dr. Packer has hosted numerous Research Teachers and headed the Indianapolis Local Outreach Team, conducting numerous workshops for teachers in the Indianapolis area. Her team also developed a draft Learning Cycle unit on the gastrointestinal system

Team Coordinator:

Sandra Mahl, Science Teacher, Cortland Elementary School, Seymour, IN. Ms. Mahl is a past-Research Teacher and member of a Local Outreach Team. She has developed new Learning Cycle units for middle school level and has served as a Mentor-Instructor for RTs.
